Application Form Guidelines: URN Profile, Live Photo & Signatures
- Universal Registration Number (URN): Candidates must register on the four-module portal `upsconline.nic.in`. The URN is a lifetime constant profile. A one-time edit facility is provided for the URN profile before re-locking.
- Mandatory Live Photo Capture: Applicants must upload their photograph and capture a real-time live photograph using their webcam or smartphone browser at eye level against a plain background without headgear or spectacles.
- Triple Signature Upload Rule: Candidates must sign three times (one below the other) on a plain white paper with a black ink pen and upload the scanned file (20 KB to 300 KB).
- Strict No-Withdrawal Policy: No application can be withdrawn after submission, and no modifications in the examination-specific module will be entertained under any circumstances.
- Face Authentication at Exam Gate: Candidates must undergo mandatory face authentication and frisking at the examination venue. Exam gates close strictly 30 minutes before each session.
