United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC), a premier public sector general insurer wholly owned by the Government of India with an annual gross premium exceeding ₹21,400 Crore and a pan-India network of over 1,200 operating offices, has opened direct open-market recruitment for 225 Administrative Officers (Scale-I). Openings are distributed between Generalist (200 posts) and Hindi Officer (25 posts) cadres. Successful recruits will be absorbed into permanent managerial cadres offering substantial career mobility and an attractive gross monthly compensation of approximately ₹1,10,000/-.

Pay Scale, Allowances, Probation & Licentiate Examination Rule

Appointees join in the basic pay scale of ₹82,485 – 4050(14) – ₹1,39,185 – 4390(4) – ₹1,56,745/-. At metropolitan centres, total gross remuneration works out to approximately ₹1,10,000/- per month. Benefits include the National Pension System (NPS), Gratuity, Leased Accommodation, Leave Travel Subsidy (LTS), Comprehensive Medical Benefits, and Group Personal Accident Insurance.

Mandatory Licentiate Examination during Probation: Selected officers will be placed on probation for one year (extendable). During this period, candidates must clear the non-life "Licentiate Examination" conducted by the Insurance Institute of India (III). Passing this professional exam is an absolute prerequisite for service confirmation; failure to clear it within the extended probationary period will result in termination of service.
Service Guarantee Bond: Probationers must execute a guarantee undertaking to serve UIIC for a minimum period of five (05) years (including probation). Resignation prior to 5 years attracts liquidated damages equivalent to the actual gross salary paid (capped at one year's gross salary) plus ₹35,000/- towards onboarding and integration expenses (proportionately reduced after completion of 1 year).
Zonal Posting & 5-Year Lock-in: Vacancies are substantially concentrated in the Southern and Western Zones of the country. Appointees will be predominantly posted to offices in these zones for an initial minimum tenure of five (05) years, during which no request for inter-zonal transfer will be entertained.
