Mandatory Academic Qualifications & CGPA Conversion Norms

1. Prescribed Degree & Percentage: Candidates must possess a first-class B.E. / B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, or Computer Science with a minimum aggregate of 65% marks or 6.84/10 CGPA. Graduation must have been completed within the stipulated duration of the university course.

2. Strict Non-Conversion Clause:

  • If a university mentions both CGPA and percentage on the marksheet, meeting at least one criterion (either ≥65% or ≥6.84 CGPA) satisfies ISRO norms.
  • Where the degree certificate or consolidated marksheet mentions only CGPA, the candidate's CGPA must independently be ≥6.84/10. Converting CGPA to percentage using university formulas is strictly prohibited to determine eligibility.
  • Similarly, where only percentage is mentioned, it must independently meet the 65% benchmark.

3. Dual / Integrated Degree Standards:

  • Where graduation and post-graduation CGPA/percentage are explicitly separated, the Graduation Level score will be evaluated.
  • Where a single uniform CGPA/percentage is awarded for the integrated course, that overall final CGPA/percentage will determine eligibility.
  • Where no formula/CGPA is specified on the certificate, cumulative performance on the final consolidated marksheet will be reckoned.
