GSSSB Junior Industry Inspector Recruitment 2026: The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar has released a recruitment notification for 60 posts of Junior Industry Inspector, Class-3 under the Office of the Industries Commissioner (Industries & Mines Department) through Advertisement No. 423/202627. The online application process started on 06 June 2026 (2:00 PM) and will remain open until 20 June 2026 (11:59 PM). The last date to pay the examination fee is 22 June 2026. Applications will be accepted only through the official OJAS portal.
To be eligible, candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech degree or Diploma in Engineering/Technology (excluding Civil Engineering) in disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Information Technology, Instrumentation, Chemical, Metallurgy, Plastic, Textile, Printing, or Mechatronics Engineering. Diploma holders must also have approximately two years of practical experience as a technical worker. Basic computer knowledge and adequate proficiency in Gujarati or Hindi are mandatory. The age limit is 18 to 35 years as on 20 June 2026, with age relaxation available for reserved categories and PwBD candidates as per government rules.
The selection process will consist of a single Computer Based Response Test (CBRT)/OMR-based objective examination. The exam will include Part-A (90 marks) covering Reasoning, Mathematics, General Knowledge/Current Affairs, and Gujarati-English Comprehension, while Part-B (120 marks) will focus on the relevant technical subject. The total examination will carry 210 marks with a duration of 3 hours. Candidates must secure at least 40% marks separately in both parts to qualify. A negative marking of one-fourth (0.25) mark will apply for each incorrect answer. The application fee is ₹500 for Unreserved candidates and ₹400 for Women, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates. The fee will be refunded to candidates who appear for the examination.
